    Mary Piper, CHC, Director of Fitness, Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor

    Mary was born and raised in New Orleans. She moved to Mandeville in 1984 and has been on the Northshore ever since. The owner and publisher Louisiana’s Health & Fitness Magazine for 18 years, Mary has always been obsessed with health and fitness. After selling the magazine in 2016, she decided to pursue certifications as a health coach and personal trainer, as well as certification in TRX.  Mary loves motivating and educating people on living a healthy lifestyle through eating whole foods and exercising, and offers one-on–one personal training and small group training. She teaches all levels of fitness, from the novice to the experienced.     Tara Condon, Yoga Instructor

    Tara Condon fell in love with yoga in 2013 when she began practicing regularly and experienced the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of the yoga practice.  She completed a 225 hour instructor training in the spring of 2016, becoming a Registered Holy Yoga Instructor.  In July, 2017 Tara completed 300 more hours of training to become Masters Level Holy Yoga Instructor. Tara considers herself a lifelong student of yoga, and is passionate about bringing yoga to people of all ages and levels of physical fitness.     Lorraine Beaver, Group Fitness Instructor

    Lorraine's fitness career began in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she met her husband of 34 years, Don.  Once she started teaching "hardcore" aerobics, she was hooked and has continued to expand her knowledge, growth and experience into many forms of exercise.  She strives to share her enthusiasm with others and make each class challenging and fun for beginners to advanced fitness members.  Lorraine teaches Tabata, Yoga / Pilates "Fusion," Stretching, and Kettlebell classes.     Julie Plaisance, Group Fitness Instructor

    Julie Plaisance has been certified in Les Mills programs since 2009, instructing BodyCombat, Cxworx, BodyPump classes in addition to  Kettlebell classes.  She is also an ISSA certified Personal Trainer.  She loves to share her passion of health and fitness with others. 

    Julie teaches Combat on Tuesday mornings at 8am and Tabata on Thursday mornings at 8am. Reserve on Mind/Body or call  985-845-3504.

    Katie Lee Hughes, Zumba and Aqua Instructor

    Katie began practicing Yoga at the age of 13 and Zumba at the age of 14. At 17, Katie was licensed to teach Zumba.  Since then she has earned AFFA Certification  (Group Exercise) and USWFA Certification (Water Aerobics). She has also completed AFAA trainings in Yoga and Pilates. She enjoys teaching Zumba Gold, a low impact, dance-style class and Aqua Fitness. Students always enjoy great music in Katie’s classes. Katie teaches our Zumba Gold classes on Wednesdays at 9:15am.

    Melissa Barkemeyer, Barre Instructor 

    Melissa s a certified barre instructor through the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association and has studied yoga through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America.  She is an Integrative Health Coach trained through Duke Integrative Medicine and holds a Nutrition certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  Melissa also earned her Master of Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.  She hopes to share her passion for health and wellness with all of the members coming to her barre class.  Melissa teaches Barre Classes on Wednesdays at 5:00pm and Barre Slim (Barre Cardio) on Saturdays at 9:15am.  Reserve on Mind/Body or call 985-845-3504.

    Marie Jaz, Yoga Instructor

    Marie has always been into fitness. This married, mother of two, grandmother of 5, was a New Orleans Saints cheerleader after High School. After staying home for 10 years with her children,  Marie taught pre-kindergarten for 20 years. 

    In 2006, Marie began taking Hatha Yoga classes and found her passion in life.  Marie has her 200 hour RYT with Annie Carpenter's SmartFLOW Program, is certified in Group Fitness and Kids Yoga.  When she isn't teaching, she loves to practice Yoga.

    Bethany has 29 years of Experience in the health and fitness industry. Her love for people and their well-being motivates her to give you the best workout and plan fit just for you. Her list of certifications range from AFAA group fitness including water aerobics, kids fitness and senior fitness.

    Victoria Richardson-Yoga Instructor

    Victoria has been living in Mandeville for over 25 years. She is a wife and mother of 20 year old triplets and 3 adult stepchildren. She is a graduate of LSU and a licensed Physical Therapist for 29 years. She is also a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has been a triathlete for almost 20 years and has completed many marathons, triathlons including a full Ironman.

    When her triplets left for college she decided it was time to deepen her knowledge of yoga and pursue her 200 hour RYT certification. She was initially drawn to power yoga and the philosophy of Brian Kest because of its incorporation of strength, balance, and stretch components holding poses for longer durations. As her yoga knowledge deepened she has realized the importance of meditation and the calming effects on and off the mat. Her intent is to encourage and inspire others and share her passion for yoga and fitness with everyone she meets.
