Certified Personal Trainer, Senior Fitness Specialist and Group Fitness Instructor

Mary was born and raised in New Orleans and obtained her BS degree in Marketing from the University of New Orleans. She moved to Mandeville in 1984 and has been on the Northshore ever since. The owner and publisher of Louisiana’s Health & Fitness Magazine for 18 years, Mary has always been obsessed with health and fitness. After selling the magazine in 2016, she decided to pursue certifications as a Health Coach from Dr. Sears Wellness Institute and Personal Trainer through AFAA, as well as a group and individual certification in TRX. She also has acquired her certification as a Specialist in Senior Fitness through ISSA. Mary loves motivating and educating people on living a healthy lifestyle through eating whole foods and exercising, and offers one-on–one personal training and small group training. She teaches all levels of fitness, from the novice to the experienced. In addition to teaching HIIT, Sculpt, and TRX classes throughout the week, she is the director of group classes and personal training. She also is the administrator for the Beau Chêne Fitness Facebook group, sharing healthy recipes, tips, challenges, and general health and fitness facts. Matt Peale

Director of Personal Training

Matt Peale comes to Beau Chene after eight years at Franco’s Athletic Club as a personal trainer and ends his tenure as their Fitness Director. He graduated from Mandeville High School in 1993, and The University of Southern Mississippi in 1997 with a BS in Marketing. Matt is excited to bring new programs and personal training techniques to the fitness center from his experience as a personal trainer since 2008. As the author of The Athlete in the Game of Life, available on Amazon, and a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist and Stretching & Flexibility Coach, Matt has experience working with golfers, tennis players, and athletes of all ages, in addition to those stiff and lacking flexibility from sitting at their desks for long hours. When not working, Matt enjoys playing golf, is a Saints season ticket holder, and can be found at many local events and festivals.
