About Us

Beau Chêne was born from the shared vision of successful New Orleans developers Morgan Earnest and Lester Kabacoff, who dreamed of creating a community where natural beauty and exceptional living could thrive side by side. In 1972, they found the perfect setting — a stunning stretch of land in St. Tammany Parish, just across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans — and began transforming that dream into reality.

Today, Beau Chêne is home to more than 1,500 single-family residences and villas, each thoughtfully designed to embrace its surroundings with views of golf courses, greenbelts, lakes, and the scenic Tchefuncte River. At the center of it all stands Beau Chêne Country Club — the vibrant heart of the community — offering first-class amenities and a welcoming sense of connection for every generation.

The Club features 36 holes of championship golf designed by renowned course architect Joe Lee, complemented by newly renovated practice facilities that include a chipping bunker, expansive practice greens, and a driving range equipped with TrackMan technology to analyze every aspect of your ball flight. Members can also take advantage of private lessons, clinics, and group instruction to enhance their game at every level.

Tennis and pickleball enthusiasts enjoy a premier complex featuring seven outdoor tennis courts (including two Rubico), four outdoor pickleball courts, one climate-controlled indoor tennis court, and two climate-controlled indoor pickleball courts. The state-of-the-art fitness center offers a full range of group exercise classes, personal training, and modern equipment to support members’ health and wellness goals. The spacious pool complex features family, adult, and children’s pools, providing a refreshing retreat for all ages.

Culinary excellence is another hallmark of the Beau Chêne experience. Members can enjoy fine dining and casual fare across two distinct restaurants, each showcasing the creative talents of award-winning Executive Chef Hosie Bourgeois.  From intimate dinners and family gatherings to grand celebrations and community events, the Club serves as the perfect backdrop for life’s most memorable moments.

In July 2016, the Inman family acquired The Earnest Corporation, continuing the legacy of excellence established by the Earnest family. Their leadership ensures Beau Chêne remains a place where facilities, programs, and experiences continually evolve — making it truly one club for life.
